Autumn Leaves Studio Tour Sept 29, 30 and Oct 1, 2006
This weekend is the 13th Saugeen Autumn Leaves Studio tour. I see the Autumn Leaves signs posted indicating studio locations. A lot of artists are only open for studio tours or by appointment, now is the time to take advantage and see what is out there.
According to their web site there are 25 studios and many have guest artists. The artwork ranges from pottery to paintings, twig furniture to glass blowing and iron work. A diverse selection of talent.
I was visiting some studios early this afternoon and was amazed at how many people where out already. I saw some great glass bead necklaces and watercolour paintings at Infinite Gallery in Eugenia. (was tempted to buy them, however I restrained myself... may go back later)
The trees look great in their autumn splendor especially in the Beaver Valley area. I love it when there are clouds in the sky and you can see their purplish shadows cast on the ground on the other side of the valley... amazing.
